Last Friday, my Sidekick 3 finally died and I was pretty happy it did.  I am not sure how it died but it just does not work anymore.  It gave me so many problems that I was about to throw it off an overpass.  This was my second Sidekick 3 because my first one had screen problems.  Since I had the insurance plan, I got another Sidekick 3 which had more problems like with the backlight where it would not turn on when I was in the dark.  The battery life also sucked and it felt like a brick in my pocket.  So I went down to my local T-Mobile store and got a Blackberry Curve.

So I tested the Curve over the weekend and I have to say that it has to be the best phone I owned so far.  Comparing the Curve to the Sidekick 3, it made the Sidekick 3 look like a toy brick.  Yes, I know, there is not comparison.  I am pretty happy with my purchase.  Never again will I get a Sidekick.  I registered on the crackberry.com forums and hopefully the tech stuff in there brings out the full potential of this smartphone.

Sure its no iPhone but it does the job.  I was actually planning to get an iPhone but I did not want to do all the jailbreaking, hacking, etc., and just needed a phone right there and then.  Maybe in about 2 years when Apple decides to release the iPhone all carriers without problems, then maybe I will go and get one.
