When you think of “Hawaii,” what do you think of?  Sand, pineapples, beach, sun, hot…how about snow?

Well if you don’t know by now, it does snow here in Hawaii, but only in the high places!  It happens during the cold season, December to March.  It is not as extreme as how it is in the states or in other countries but it does get a bit chilly.

Here are some cool pictures of a snow capped Haleakala, or “House of the Sun,” on the island of Maui taken yesterday.I did not take those pictures as I am on the island of Oahu, but I wish I could have been up there at that time.  At 10,000+ ft, its cold up there no matter what season it is, I can only imagine how cold it is up there now.

So the Mythbusters kind of proved the plane will fly.  There may be still some controversy that the whole setup was ghetto but hopefully this settle some people's theories, hurt some egos and probably start more debates on other factors.

I for one, stayed neutral.  I am not a physicist and I will usually will believe something when I see it.

Here is the debate thread on a local forums board I go to:

Ok I see from my Google analytics that some of you are still using IE6 and was going the redirect page.  Shame on you for using a crappy browser!

Well I did a little modification, checked on IE6 and now it looks fine.  I am using a hacked version on IE6 since IE7 is the default version so I really don't know if it was actually fixed.  If there is some weird issues with the layout, please let me know.  AND PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, UPDATE YOUR BROWSERS!!!  IE7 is safer and it will make your computer happy, although firefox will make it happier.  Also, I do not care about hate IE5.x and below.

Thanks.

Google Analytics is one fine web application.  I remember the days of just having those hit counters show how many visitors came to your site; my, how we have advanced!

So, I see that you people are coming to my site but not saying hello!  Say hello dammit!

No but really, its pretty cool to see a diversity in visits.  My site has been up for about 2 weeks now and I got people from all over the world visiting!  Most of you are all fellow wordpress users too!

Here is a breakdown of countries that people visited from in the past two weeks:

United States
United Kingdom
Canada
Ireland
India
Turkey
Australia
Japan
Norway
Netherlands
South Korea
Malaysia
Sweden
Italy
Brazil
German
Chile
Pakistan
Denmark
Mexico
Slovenia
Singapore
Finland
Poland
Thailand
Israel
Belgium
South Africa

I am surprised that no one from the Philippines visited yet since I am Filipino!

Now locally, I want to know who is visiting me from Hickam AFB and Honolulu since those are the two biggest amount of hits from Hawaii.

I know my blog entries are kind of lame but I am trying, I am working a just a bit too hard at the moment, I will start bring my digital camera around with me and take some pictures!  Hopefully the next few blog entries will show the people of the world some imagery on my side of the island. I will also fix the IE6 problem I am having with the CSS.  But most likely if you are reading this, the site should be showing up fine.
