Seriously? WTF?! I thought with every version there is supposed to be a upgrade of some sorts. NOT DOWNGRADE!

Well I tested IE8 Beta on one of my validated sites and here are the results for a simple menu:

IE6:

IE8:

OK WTF is going on here?! Microsoft claims IE8 is for web designers and developers but can’t even render a simple menu correctly?! I don’t care if it is just a beta, IE has released 7 different versions already but still can’t get it right! Firefox and others got it right their first time! The site works correctly on IE6 which is supposed to be the crap browser!

Microsoft, I am disappointed. I know its just one site but designers and developers expect something to work with all these “upgrades!”

So the Mythbusters kind of proved the plane will fly.  There may be still some controversy that the whole setup was ghetto but hopefully this settle some people's theories, hurt some egos and probably start more debates on other factors.

I for one, stayed neutral.  I am not a physicist and I will usually will believe something when I see it.

Here is the debate thread on a local forums board I go to:

Apparently there is a big debate about this subject and finally someone will try and solve it!  The original riddle was:

“A plane is standing on a runway that can move (some sort of band conveyer). The plane moves in one direction, while the conveyer moves in the opposite direction. This conveyer has a control system that tracks the plane speed and tunes the speed of the conveyer to be exactly the same (but in the opposite direction). Can the plane take off?”

The Mythbusters are going to try and solve this myth!

I am not sure what the outcome will be but it should be pretty cool.  Lets watch it on the Discover Channel on January 30 to see what happens!
